Matthew is the Senior Partner at Strain Keville Solicitors, with over a decade of expertise advising a diverse and international client base. He prides himself on building working relationships with people, not ‘customers’ and developing a means to attain the best results.
Matthew prides himself on getting to the crux of a case quickly and directly, so his clients can consider the best route either in to or out of a legal situation. Settlement is always high on his priority list, to do the best for his clients both in terms of costs and pragmatism.
Matthew joined Strain Keville in 2006 with both an Undergraduate Degree in Law and a Masters in Private International Commercial Law from Newcastle University. He was called to the bar by The Inner Temple in March 2008, and admitted as a solicitor in April 2010.
He specialises in Litigation, Commercial and Company.
Alex Guest is a Partner at Strain Keville. His practice focuses on litigation and ADR, helping clients in disputes of all sizes and in many substantive areas of law. He has experience in managing all aspects of litigation and case handling from the start of a case through trial.
Alex is a qualified Spanish lawyer and solicitor, and as head of Strain Keville’s International desk, he works with legal and non-legal firms in Gibraltar, Malta and Spain, offering services in these jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Strain Keville, Alex worked in different jurisdictions covering British (in Gibraltar), Spanish and Maltese law where he assisted in corporate, commercial and litigation matters.
Born in London and raised in Spain, Alex obtained his Spanish Law Degree from Cádiz University, and an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from Queen Mary University. He then passed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme to become a solicitor.
In his spare time Alex enjoys the theatre, swimming, tennis, and following his football team.
The founder of Strain Keville and a solicitor with over 30 years of experience, Andrew started his own firm when he was 25 years old. His practice and client base has been developed over many years.
He is proud to confidently say he works as much on the relationships with clients as on the problems they face.
Exceptionally diverse in his application of commercial, property and land transactions, his practice is based (both internationally and at home) on his ability to simplify complications and produce a usable and adaptable solution.
Having graduated from the University of Sheffield, Adam joined Strain Keville as a paralegal in 2016 and earned his stripes in the firm’s Property Department. Adam prides himself on providing a professional service with a client focused approach and is always happy to engage with his clients to achieve the best possible result.
